On July 1, IVE made a surprise appearance at Everland as part of the special collaboration project “ForEVER IVE.” The members enjoyed various attractions, experienced rides, and spent time interacting with fans and visitors.
Many guests at the park recorded videos of the group’s appearance, and one clip later spread across online communities, sparking debate.
In the video, the members gather at the collaboration zone while listening to a staff member’s explanation. Most members are seen standing with their hands clasped in front of them, while Jang Won Young listens with her arms folded throughout the briefing.

Some online users criticized her posture, arguing that folding one’s arms while someone is speaking could be perceived as impolite in certain situations. Others suggested it may simply be a personal habit and noted that celebrities often face intense scrutiny over minor actions.
Comments online included opinions such as:
- Someone is explaining something, and she’s standing with her arms crossed.
- It’s fine in everyday life, but during a staff briefing it would be more polite not to.
- Maybe it’s just a habit.
- Celebrities really have a difficult life.

The discussion comes shortly after Jang Won Young was involved in another online controversy during a departure for Shanghai, China. At the airport, videos showed her briefly lowering her face mask while keeping her cap on during an identity verification process. Some online communities questioned whether she had followed security procedures correctly, leading to speculation about alleged preferential treatment. Following the debate, Jang Won Young was later seen removing both her cap and mask during identity verification.
Subsequently, the Korea Airports Corporation updated the identity verification guidance on its website to explicitly state that passengers should temporarily remove masks, hats, and sunglasses during the verification process.
