On August 19, tvN confirmed that actress Jang Nara will join the variety show “House on Wheels” as a permanent cast member.
Earlier, on July 30, Star News exclusively reported that actress Jang Nara will join the cast of tvN’s beloved variety show House on Wheels for Season 5, becoming the first female youngest member in that season.
She will appear alongside veteran actors Sung Dong-il and Kim Hee-won, who have been the fixed core cast members since the program’s inception.
House on Wheels features a mobile home traveling to serene locations, where cast members spend time with special guests for heartfelt, slice-of-life experiences. Each season has welcomed a different youngest member: Yeo Jin-goo (Season 1), Im Si-wan (Season 2), Gong Myung (Season 3), and Rowoon (Season 4).

Jang Nara’s casting marks a refreshing change, and viewers are eagerly anticipating her dynamic with the existing duo. The trio is scheduled to begin filming in Japan later this August, with House on Wheels 5 expected to air in late 2025.
The scale of the new season will be expanded. Where previous seasons visited 32 locations across 24 domestic regions, the latest season will feature international destinations, capturing breathtaking natural landscapes outside of Korea. Culinary highlights continue, with local ingredients from abroad incorporated into unique and visually appealing dishes, offering viewers a diverse gastronomic experience.
The production team stated: “After three years, House on Wheels returns with a new season. We’ve prepared to deliver healing, laughter, and fresh entertainment. Please look forward to the vibrant chemistry of Sung Dong-il and Kim Hee-won, and the new energy Jang Nara brings to the show.”
This will be Jang Nara’s return to unscripted entertainment, bringing her warmth, wit, and charm to a new type of journey.
