Jang Ki Yong discharged from the military today (Feb 22) after serving as an active duty soldier
“Thank you for waiting so long” are the first words of Jang Ki Yong, who has completed his military service for 1 year and 6 months.
On the morning of February 22nd (Korean time), Jang Ki Yong was discharged from the army’s 15th Infantry Division located in Cheorwon-gun, Gangwon-do. It has been 18 months since he enlisted as an active duty soldier in August 2021.
After fulfilling his military duty, Jang Ki Yong appeared at the military site in his uniform. He caught the attention with his more dignified appearance.
After a long service, he said, “Thank you for waiting for a long time. I will be able to greet you through good works soon.”
Jang Ki Yong, born in 1992, debuted as a model in a fashion designer show in 2011. Later, in 2014, he starred in SBS’s drama “It’s Okay, That’s Love” and started his acting career.
It was during the drama “My Mister” that Jang Ki Yong’s name became properly known to the public. Jang Ki Yong has since shown impressive performances in works namely “Come and Hug Me”, “Kill It”, “Search: WWW”, “Sweet and Sour”, “Now, We Are Breaking Up”, “My Roommate is a Gumiho”, etc.
His next work, which will mark his first comeback after the discharge, is not yet revealed.
