Jang Hyuk, “I’ve been practicing boxing for 13 years… I’m still doing well with action scenes”

40-year-old actor Jang Hyuk revealed the way he maintains great physical strength for action scenes.

In an interview for the action movie “The Killer: A Girl Who Deserves to Die” (directed by Choi Jae-hoon/ produced by Ascendio) held on the morning of July 6th, Jang Hyuk expressed his feelings about playing a retired professional killer.

Jang Hyuk said, “There are things like high-point action and low-point action. I feel like I’m crossing a mountain in solidarity. ‘The Killer’ can be seen as a high-point action solved by the story of a professional killer. So, I’m planning on the next work with the thought that it would be nice to combine high-point action and low-point action.”

Jang Hyuk, who has a special love for action films, revealed how he managed his physical strength for action scenes. He smiled and said, “Compared to when I was in my 30s, my physical strength has certainly gotten weaker. Still, I practice boxing regularly so I don’t feel physically exhausted when filming. Until now, I’m still doing well with action scenes.”

The actor continued to show his passion, saying “I think I have practiced boxing for about 13 years. Boxing helps me maintain my physical strength and build up my body and above all, it gives me energy.

“The Killer: A Girl Who Deserves to Die”, starring Jang Hyuk, tells about a professional killer, who was enjoying his retirement life, chasing and punishing people who mess up with him until the end. It will be released on July 13th.
