On the June 5 episode of the KBS2 variety program Problem Child in House, Jang Geun Suk appeared as a guest and candidly reflected on the difficulties he faced throughout his long career in the entertainment industry.

The actor, who is now in his 34th year since debut, recalled how overwhelming sasaeng fans had been during his younger days. “When I was younger, I had a lot of sasaeng fans,” he shared. “What shocked me the most was that whenever work ended and I went to a restaurant or hotel, they would somehow arrive before me,” leaving everyone in the studio stunned.

When Hong Jin Kyung suggested there might have been an insider leaking information, Jang Geun Suk revealed an even more unsettling detail. “What scared me was that they were actually in contact with a Japanese staff member who had been driving me for three or four years,” he explained, surprising the cast with the extent of the invasion of privacy.

Jang Geun Suk also recounted a frightening moment involving an obsessive fan who managed to reach his home despite strict security.

“There was a time something really serious almost happened,” he said. “At the house I currently live in, a Russian woman showed up claiming, ‘I’m Jang Geun Suk’s Russian language teacher, and I’m here for tutoring.’ The security guard opened the gate for her, and she ended up standing right in front of my house.”

He continued, “My house has a three-level security system. I took the elevator down, and when the doors opened, I saw someone taller than me standing there smiling brightly. I was absolutely shocked.”
