On January 30, Jackie Chan opened an account on the Chinese social media platform Xiaohongshu, introducing himself playfully as a “Xiaohongshu newbie.” In his first video, Chan spoke candidly about his daily life and filming experiences, quickly drawing more than 100,000 followers. During the video, he openly admitted that he has ADHD, explaining that maintaining focus has always been a challenge since childhood, yet he continued pushing himself to work on film sets despite the difficulties.

His honesty resonated with viewers, prompting a wave of supportive comments praising his work ethic and what many called his “extraordinary concentration” in action-heavy performances, despite the disorder.

Even now, Jackie Chan shows no signs of slowing down. Earlier this year, he appeared at Milan Fashion Week looking healthy and stylish, and he recently completed work on the family comedy Panda Plan 2, scheduled for release during Lunar New Year 2026 on February 13. The film was shot in Wengding Village in Yunnan, known as China’s last remaining primitive tribe, and focuses on themes of environmental protection.

Chan also confirmed that he is involved in upcoming projects including Rush Hour 4 and Chinese Zodiac 2, stating that he plans to maintain an ambitious pace of filming “three movies a year.”

Despite his professional success, Chan’s personal life has long been controversial. He has faced criticism for distancing himself from his daughter Etta Ng Chok Lam, born out of wedlock with former beauty queen Elaine Ng Yi-Lei, while reportedly indulging his son Jaycee Chan in the past. Jackie Chan currently lives overseas with his wife, Joan Lin, while Jaycee Chan is believed to be residing in Singapore and is reportedly married.

Most recently, Chan returned to the screen with The Shadow’s Edge (2025), which has received positive responses from audiences, further proving that even with ADHD, his drive and presence in the film industry remain as strong as ever.
