On the Oct 27th broadcast of KBS 2TV’s “Golden Girls”, J. Y. Park expressed his desire to create a girl group with members Insooni, Park Mi-kyung, Shin Hyo-bum and Lee Eun-mi.
J. Y. Park invited PDs and writers to the JYP Entertainment (JYP) building to introduce the program he wanted to create. He said, “Now is probably the best time for me as a producer. The music from our company is also really good, yet I’ve become increasingly ‘thirsty’ despite the results.”
J. Y. Park explained, “When I first started making music, I wanted to produce a group that plays the music I liked. However, it’s complicated to do that within our company now as there’s a board of directors. Our company has become complicated.”
He went on to say, “I have a vision in my mind. There’s an unquenchable thirst inside me. I want to produce a soulful group that I like. I think the thirst will be completely relieved if I put together members like this.” He also mentioned the members he would like to work with, “Insooni is a singer with no weaknesses. She’s completely mature in every technique. Park Mi-kyung originally did dance music. She has been making the most similar music to what we want to do. She can do high-difficulty performances comfortably while singing. Shin Hyo-bum explosively demonstrates her vocal ability while expressing it in a poetic manner like a poem. She’s a vocalist born with a soulful sensibility. Lee Eun-mi is so good at performing. She has overwhelming charisma, roughness, impulsiveness and spontaneity.“
