On December 31st, J-Hope posted a long message on the Weverse account of BTS to send New Year greetings to fans, saying “2023 is about to end. Still, I believe that it was a special year to appreciate in many ways, so I came here to greet you guys”.
He continued by reflecting on 2023, saying, “This year, I clearly focused on various activities related to the military. I want to show you aspects that I couldn’t before, such as attending award ceremonies alone, participating in big shows in Paris, repaying you with gifts before my enlistment, collaborating on a song with someone I respect, and preparing content to let you feel my warmth during my military service.”
“After living a busy and intense life like that, I enlisted in the military. Running for already 9 months as a soldier, I am preparing to welcome the year of discharge. What I feel is that I want to show myself in a wonderful way to you as soon as possible”, J-Hope also said.
Lastly, J-Hope concluded his New Year greetings by adding, “The day I earnestly finish my duty in defense of the country will make the start of 2024 more vigorous. Anyway, thanks to you, I endured and improved immensely in 2023. I hope you receive lots of blessings in the new year of 2024!!! Our ARMY, our members—don’t get hurt and let’s be happy! I love you!!! Even though it’s late, happy birthday to our Taehyung.”
It’s worth noting that J-Hope enlisted in active duty on April 18th and is currently serving as a sergeant.
