In a subsequent interview, Park Jae Beom asked, “Was there any opposition from your parents to [your] dancing?” J-Hope said, “There was a really big opposition because my father was a literature teacher at my school,” revealed the main dancer.

He said, “I couldn’t study well and dance well [at the same time]. I was really into dancing and practiced until dawn. I came in too late and danced when I was studying,” he confessed.

J-Hope said, “Now they support me more than anyone else,” adding, “I’m sure they’ll like this show,” and Park Jae Beom agreed, “Parents are always number one fans.”

J-Hope then said that when he was an elementary school student, he copied the dance that was popular in entertainment programs. At the age of 14, he began learning how to dance professionally.

As his enlistment date is drawing near, J-Hope said, “The biggest driving force that I can make and show you [the fans] is you. I will continue to show good performances in the future, hoping that it will remain deep in your hearts. And I will go to the military well,” said J-Hope.
