“There are still many unbooked seats”… IU’s confession of her worry about holding a concert in the past draws explosive reactions from netizens

As all tickets for IU’s concert at Jamsil Olympic Stadium were sold out, netizens brought up what IU said in the past.

On August 16th, an article titledIU used to be very worried because there were still many seats at her concert that couldn’t be sold” was posted on Nate Pann.

The article contains the message IU left on her fancafe in the past. She said to her fans, “Concert… I don’t even dare to think of it. If I were to have a concert with the opening song ‘Marshmallow’, the second song ‘Hey’, the third song ‘BOO’, the fourth song ‘Nagging’ and the ending song ‘Lost Child’, I would have to have at least 20 songs more. But even if I invite a guest and add all the pop songs and OSTs, that’s still not enough (to hold a concert)”.

Appearing on KBS’s entertainment program “Happy Together” before holding her first concert in 2012, IU looked nervous as she shared, “It’s hard to sell out all the tickets. I’m worried because there are still a lot of unbooked seats”.

In response to this article, netizens commented, “She gets more than 400,000 fans after 10 years”, “She has now become the first Korean female singer to enter Jamsil Main Stadium”, “I should have gone to her concert since back then”, “I can’t go to her concert because I’m not in Korea”, etc.

Meanwhile, IU will hold a two-day concert on the 17th and 18th of next month. As IU became the first Korean female singer to hold a concert at the Main Stadium of Jamsil Olympic Stadium, IU’s concert, which will be held for the first time after three years, drew keen attention even before the ticket reservation period began.
