IU x Park Bo-gum’s “When Life Gives You Tangerines” confirmed to be released through Netflix

“When Life Gives You Tangerines”, which drew attention as the meeting of IU, Park Bo-gum, PD Kim Won-seok of dramas such as “Misaeng”, “Signal”, “My Mister” and writer Lim Sang-choon of “When the Camellia Blooms”, will be released worldwide through Netflix. “When Life Gives You Tangerines” depicts the adventure-filled life of Ae-soon, a “rebellious” character born in Jeju in the 1950s, and Gwan-sik, a diligent and quiet person who lacks knowledge when it comes to romance.

“When Life Gives You Tangerines” is expected to provide unforgettable resonance as it unfolds the story of Ae-soon and Gwan-sik against the backdrop of Jeju. Irreplaceable actors gathered, garnering great interest and expectations.

First, IU, who has showcased solid acting skills across various genres in dramas like “My Mister” and “Hotel Del Luna” as well as films like “Broker” and “Dream”, will reunite with PD Kim Won-seok for the second time after “My Mister”. IU portrays Ae-soon, a spirited rebel, much like a “stubborn potato”.

Park Bo-gum, who has continuously showcased new endeavors with different characters in dramas like “Record of Youth”, films like “Seo Bok” and musicals like “Let Me Fly”, plays Gwan-sik, a character as silent and unyielding as a “cast iron” and as unshakable as an “old tree”.

In addition, seasoned actors Moon So-ri, known for works like “Three Sisters”, “Queenmaker” and “Race”, and Park Hae-joon, acclaimed for his strong performances in dramas like “My Mister”, “The World of the Married” and “12.12: The Day”, portray the middle age versions of Ae-soon and Gwan-sik, respectively.

With a brilliant casting lineup including IU, Park Bo-gum, Moon So-ri, Park Hae-joon and a trustworthy production team, Netflix’s series “When Life Gives You Tangerines” is highly anticipated and will be available worldwide through Netflix.
