IU Tops Trend Index for Female Solo Singers, Surpassing BLACKPINK? 

The trend index for female solo singers in the 1st week of May has been released with IU standing on top. 

According to the ranking on May 9, IU ranked first in the trend index for female solo singers, while BLACKPINK’s Lisa and BIBI took second and third place, respectively. BLACKPINK member Jennie was ranked fourth, followed closely by the summer sensation Kwon Eunbi in fifth place.

This trend index was compiled by Rankify and calculated based on the previous week’s keyword search volume and Google Trend scores, using big data as its foundation.

Rankify not only analyzed the comprehensive trend index ranking for female solo singers but also analyzed preferences by gender and age group.

First, looking at the trend index, IU secured first place with 11,379 points.

Following closely behind, Lisa ranked second with 8,468 points, showing an increase of 6,918 points from the previous week, while BIBI ranked third with 8,333 points, showing an increase of 1,470 points from the previous week.

The gender preference analysis revealed that IU, ranked first, is preferred by 37% of males and 63% of females, while Lisa, ranked second, is preferred by 37% of males and 63% of females, and BIBI, ranked third, is preferred by 55% of males and 45% of females.

In terms of age group preferences, IU is favored by 13% of teenagers, 30% of those in their 20s, 24% of those in their 30s, 21% of those in their 40s, and 12% of those in their 50s.
