Early in the morning of the day IU had the interview, the death of Astro Moonbin was reported. Astro Moonbin was found dead at his home in Gangnam-gu, Seoul at around 8:10 PM on April 19th.

IU carefully said, “I also feel bad when I wake up in the morning and see the sad news. Sadly, I’ve seen a lot of my colleagues who are having a hard time. As I said before, it’d be great if we could become a society where difficult and painful things are accepted naturally, a society where we can be more tolerant of each other. I think about it every time something like this happens.”

She confessed, “I think I should become a person who can be more tolerant of those around me and have even a little interest in them. Many people seem to feel unmotivated due to the sad news. I hope people don’t get sick, take care of each other and cheer for each other a little more.”

IU added, “When the burnout time comes, I read the diary I wrote before. I have a habit of taking notes, but when I look at the notes on my phone, I think it’s just a momentary feeling and try to escape quickly. I’m not the type to feel stuck for a long time when I have a small slump or burnout. I don’t like to stay in one mood for too long. I have a strong habit of returning to the basic values.”
