In the letter, Lia stated, ‘I am writing directly to the fans who may be worried. After much deliberation and thought, I have decided not to participate in this album production and world tour, but instead focus on recovering my health.’
She continued, ‘For the fans who will be disappointed, I will release my solo track ‘Blossom’ along with a lyric video. It is a song that contains my sincere feelings that I want to convey to the fans.’
Additionally, Lia said, ‘Are our MIDZY doing well? I am doing well in my own way. I promise to return in a better condition to repay the support that MIDZY has given during this time we cannot be together! Thank you always for believing and waiting.’
Earlier in September, ITZY’s agency, JYP Entertainment, announced, ‘Currently, Lia is experiencing extreme tension and anxiety about her schedule and has undergone consultation and examination. The medical advice received indicates the need for stability and treatment.’ As a result, Lia took a break from ITZY’s schedule to focus on rest and treatment.
While Lia promised to return in a healthy condition, after two months, she announced her decision not to participate in ITZY’s new album and world tour to concentrate more on her health recovery.
