ITZY’s Ryujin is set to expand her career as an actress with a role in the upcoming film Myeondo, directed by Kim Jung-hoon, known for his acclaimed 2014 film Tinker Ticker. This marks his return to the director’s chair after 12 years.

Myeondo is being produced by Star Platinum, the same production company behind Netflix’s 2025 movie Good News, which received positive reviews.

Ryujin will join Roh Jeong-eui, who has already been confirmed for the project. Myeondo will be Ryujin’s second movie role following Night on Earth, which she has already completed filming and is awaiting release. Night on Earth marked her official acting debut.

Since debuting with ITZY in 2019, Ryujin has built a strong reputation as a K-pop idol and is now steadily carving a new path in acting. Her consecutive appearances in film projects highlight her dedication to developing as an actress. With Myeondo, audiences are eager to see how she builds on her previous experience and what fresh side of her she’ll bring to the screen.
