ITZY had candid talks on ‘Knowing Bros’, from their backstage gossip to alcohol preferences.
On August 5th, ITZY appeared as guests on JTBC’s entertainment program “Knowing Bros.”
Yeji’s behind-the-scenes incident involving Ryujin caught attention. Yeji said, “Ryujin likes being alone if she’s feeling sensitive. (That day) she was driving to the dorm. I talked a lot, but she didn’t respond much, so I thought she was a bit sensitive today.“
Continuing, Yeji revealed, “Ultimately, I said, ‘Ryujin, you should take this.’ But she didn’t answer me and instead asked the manager, ‘Can I take this next time?‘” This surprised the hosts.
While explaining the situation that upset her, Yeji recalled saying, “‘Why is she acting like this today? I can’t understand.’ I felt something like that.” Lia added, “After getting out of the car, we walked a bit behind. I ended it by saying, ‘Is she sensitive? That’s just how she is.’“
Later, when Yeji was about to go to a convenience store, she met Ryujin. “She casually asked me, ‘Where are you going?’ I went to the convenience store, and she said, ‘Should I come with you?’ If she acknowledges my frustration, it quickly dissipates,” Yeji explained, revealing how she eased her anger.
Ryujin commented, “When Yeji is upset, she has a distinct expression. There’s a certain expression she has when she wants to express her hurt feelings.”
Yeji revealed, “Later, Ryujin came and said, ‘Unnie, I’m sorry you felt upset.’ That’s when things got better between us.”
Additionally, ITZY shared various stories on that day. Kang Ho Dong said, “I heard a rumor that Lia drinks makgeolli instead of probiotics in the morning.”
Lia responded, “It’s not the case right now, but when I became an adult, I bought mediocre makgeolli at the convenience store, thinking I could drink alcohol now. It was surprisingly delicious. I enjoyed it in the morning, like a beverage or a tea time,” bringing laughter.
Chaeryeong hesitated, “It’s only been 6 or 7 months since I started drinking alcohol. So, maybe that’s why.” Lee Soo Geun asked, “Do you like it?” Chaeryeong nodded. She also mentioned that her favorite alcoholic drink is wine.
Maknae Yuna said, “We’re now in our 5th year, and there are changes. Lia used to eat leisurely, but now she eats soup dishes in the car. She eats faster.” To this, Lee Jin Ho commented, “So she’s having makgeolli in the morning for hangovers,” evoking laughter.
On the other hand, the older members also shared how Yuna has changed. Lia said, “Recently, I’ve noticed that Yuna has become a very cool unnie. She definitely doesn’t seem like a baby anymore.” Kim Hee Chul said, “She’s trying to take on a mature image.”
