On January 8th, ITZY held a press conference to commemorate the release of their 8th mini album “BORN TO BE” at Conrad Seoul Grand Ballroom in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.
At the event, Yeji shared, “2024 has just begun and I’m happy because I have a feeling that we’re going to make a good start”, adding “We’ll show you a great performance with an album that we had worked so hard to prepare”.
In particular, Yeji, who was born in the year of the dragon, confessed her wish for this year. She said, “First of all, we’re planning our second world tour while preparing for this comeback, and I hope the tour will be successful”.
“BORN TO BE” delivers their confident message about going forward in the large world that unfolds in front of us the way we want. The members go beyond the story of “respecting and loving myself”, which is the group’s core music identity, and convey a more challenging meaning of expressing ourselves more freely and overcoming our own limits.
The title song “UNTOUCHABLE” is a dance-pop genre song that combines mid-tempo EDM with an intense guitar sound. Its lyrics tell about fighting against numerous conflicts and challenges in the world around us.
The album will be released on all music websites at 6 p.m. on the 8th.
