“It’s all understandable” Attrakt’s CEO Jeon Hong Joon defends FIFTY FIFTY members until the end
Attrakt’s CEO Jeon Hong Joon, who is in conflict with girl group FIFTY FIFTY, said he wants to meet the members as soon as possible and make up amicably.
In an exclusive interview with Star News on July 11th, CEO Jeon Hong Joon said, “We need to make sure that the members can resume their activities as soon as possible.”
CEO Jeon explained, “It can only be seen that we came to this point as Ahn Sung Il and director A gaslighted the members. On June 19th, a proof of content was sent to the company, but it came during an emergency meeting, so the company said we had no clue. It was also strange that we couldn’t contact them from the very next day (June 20th). I can’t contact the members at all, but PD Ahn Sung Il seems to keep in touch with the members. Reasonable doubt was bound to arise.”
He continued, “Honestly, two of the members are minors, and their parents probably don’t know this field well. How can they know all of these situations? It’s all understandable, and I just want us to start again by making up amicably and solving problems together.”
Star News, which conducted the interview, added, “We couldn’t include all of CEO Jeon’s words in the interview, but in conclusion, he seemed to have a lot of thoughts towards the members.“
Attrakt is in a dispute with FIFTY FIFTY members regarding exclusive contracts.
FIFTY FIFTY members (Sio, Saena, Aran, Keena) recently filed an injunction for the suspension of exclusive contracts with their agency Attrakt. FIFTY FIFTY claimed that they could no longer continue exclusive contracts due to Attrakt’s violation of the obligation to provide settlement data transparently and faithfully, violation of the members’ physical and mental health care obligations and lack of support for entertainment activities.
On the other hand, Attrakt refuted on July 5th, “The members raise doubts about Attrakt’s ability, but we invested approximately 8 billion won. We poured all of Attrakt’s assets and even borrowed funds from the CEO’s mother. It is excessive to make claims based on speculations that ignore the fact that we invested a significant amount of money, around 8 billion won, and to say that we have no ability.“
Afterwards, on July 10th, CEO Jeon suddenly deleted posts related to FIFTY FIFTY that he uploaded on his personal SNS. Regarding this, netizens speculated, “CEO Jeon eventually cut FIFTY FIFTY members off, right?“
