Infinite’s Nam Woo-hyun Talked About Battling Rare Cancer And Shed Tears On “Immortal Songs”

In the latest episode of KBS2’s “Importal Songs: Sing the Legend,” which aired on December 23rd, singers were invited to cover the songs of legendary singer Lee Kyung-kyu, the godfather of the Korean entertainment industry.

Nam Woo-hyun was one of the guests of this episode. On the show, Nam Woo-hyun also revealed that he is recovering from the surgery after battling a rare cancer known as known as cystic gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST).

In addition, Nam Woo-hyun expressed his feelings, saying, “Coming here and rehearsing reminded me of the days when I sang 10 years ago, when I was very young.”

Nam Woo-hyun shed tears after the performance, drawing everyone’s emotion. Regarding the reason, Nam Woo-hyun said, “I was at the peak as an idol when I first came to ‘Immortal Songs.’ The person who arranged the song for us at the time has left this world (passed away) now.”

Meanwhile, KBS2’s “Importal Songs: Sing the Legend” is a program in which various singers reinterpret various genres of masterpieces and airs every Saturday at 6:10 p.m.
