Infinite Sungjong: “After Comeback, It’s Embarrassing to Go to the Restroom, Greeting Junior Idols is Awkward”

Infinite’s Sungjong expressed his struggles during the group’s latest promotions. 

On August 4th, on SBS Power FM’s ‘Cultwo Show,’ Infinite’s Sungjong appeared as a guest.

Sungjong proudly revealed that he has stepped away from his idol image. He mentioned that due to Infinite’s comeback, he’s been busy with their schedule and dance practice. Sungjong shared, “Since I’m juggling Infinite’s schedule and dance practices, I’m eating one bowl of ox bone soup at a time.”

However, he added, “Although I eat ox bone soup, I don’t eat rice much.” He explained, “I eat one or two spoonfuls of rice and then pick out the meat and soup to eat.” When asked, “You’re an idol, can you really live like that?” Sungjong further mentioned that he eats not only rice but also red ginseng and vitamin supplements. He added, “I can’t live without red ginseng.”

When asked about Sungjong’s feelings towards working with junior idols who have the same stamina as him. In response, Sungjong opened up about the situation at the music show backstage, “I can’t leave the waiting room. Going to the restroom is too embarrassing.” He revealed, “When I greet the juniors, it feels awkward.”

Kwak Beom then came up with a piece of advice, “Then you should reduce the amount of seolleongtang soup.” This made everyone laugh. To this, Sungjong replied, “Then I’ll eat less. After that, I’m adapting to the point where I think I should carry a portable toilet.”
