Im Soo-hyang – Sung-hoon: “Our relationship is like we’re already married and have a baby”

Actors Im Soo-hyang and Sung-hoon showed extraordinary chemistry.

On the afternoon of May 4th, an online press conference of SBS’ new Monday-Tuesday drama “Woori the Virgin” was held. Director Jeong Jeong-hwa and actors Im Soo-hyang, Sung-hoon, Shin Dong-wook, Hong Ji-yoon attended the event.

“Woori the Virgin” is a romantic comedy drama about Oh Woo-ri (Im Soo-hyang), a woman who kept her virginal purity, getting pregnant with a child of Raphael (Sung-hoon) due to an unexpected mistake.

Im Soo-hyang takes on the role of Oh Woo-ri, an assistant writer of a popular drama airing in that time, while Sung-hoon plays Raphael, CEO of Diamond Cosmetics and the biological father of the child.

In particular, the two worked together in SBS’ “New Tales of Gisaeng” (2011). They met again after 10 years and attracted attention with their pleasant tiki-taka.

Sung-hoon shared, “The two of us had a chance to work together in earnest for the first time in 10 years, but we know each other well because it’s not like there has been no contact at all during those years. We got along so well that we didn’t even have to rehearse.”

Director Jeong confessed, “We usually shoot easy scenes in the beginning. The cinematographers were surprised at the chemistry between the two from the first shooting. SBS’ daughter and son returned home in glory.” In response, Sung-hoon said, “Our relationship is like we’re already married, have a baby and hold our child’s first-birthday party.”

The first episode will air at 10 PM on May 9th.
