Actor Im Si Wan will appear in Netflix’s original series “Squid Game” Season 2, which is already in production.
According to Star News on June 25th, Im Si Wan was recently cast for “Squid Game 2”. However, regarding the casting of Im Si Wan, Netflix said, “Please understand that we cannot confirm anything related to the casting at the moment.”
Earlier on June 13th last year, “Squid Game” director Hwang Dong Hyuk said, “A new game begins. It took 12 years to bring the first season of ‘Squid Game’ to life last year. But it took 12 days for ‘Squid Game’ to become the most popular Netflix series ever”, announcing the production of Season 2.
Director Hwang continued, “As the person who wrote, directed and produced ‘Squid Game’, I want to deliver my greeting to fans all over the world. Thank you for watching and loving ‘Squid Game’”, adding “And now, Gi Hoon returns. The Front Man returns. Season 2 is coming. The man in the suit with ddakji might be back. You’ll also be introduced to Young Hee’s boyfriend, Cheol-su. Join us once more for a whole new round”, confirming the reappearance of Season 1 cast, including Lee Jung Jae and Lee Byung Hun, who played the main characters, as well as Gong Yoo, who made a cameo appearance.
Released in 2021, “Squid Game” by Hwang Dong Hyuk, who directed famous films, such as “Silenced”, “Miss Granny”, “The Fortress”, etc., featured Lee Jung Jae, Park Hae Soo, Oh Young Soo, Jung Ho Yeon, and Wi Ha Joon.
