“I’m scared, I got goosebumps,” BTS Jungkook got seriously disturbed by prank calls from sasaeng fans

Jungkook, a member of BTS, complained of damage caused by sasaeng fans.

On April 5th, Jungkook did a live broadcast titled “I’m sleepy” on the official V LIVE channel of BTS.

Jungkook, who is currently staying in the U.S., said, “I just had dinner with PD Bang and the members and I am a little sleepy. But I want to do this V LIVE. I wanted to do it when I was quarantined, but I couldn’t, so I was very disappointed. I’m finally meeting you live today. I didn’t come here because I have something to say, there’s no big reason. I just do this because I miss you guys,” he said, and started communicating with fans.

He then gave his reviews of the Grammy Awards, reviews of the Silk Sonic Concert, his feelings ahead of the Las Vegas concert, and his recent status of studying English. Then suddenly, the phone in his accommodation rang. Jungkook said, “I got a phone call, gotta answer it,” but when the bell rang only once before went silence, he said, “Did they call the wrong number? I was surprised.”

But the phone then rang again, and Jungkook said, “Who is it? Please don’t prank call me,” he warned. Then the phone rang again. Jungkook said, “That phone ringtone is a bit upsetting to me now. It’s a little creepy,” he said, frowning.

After that, the ringing continued, but it was cut off as soon as Jungkook answered the phone. Jungkook said, “You’re watching this, right? Who is it? Who are you and why are you prank-calling me? Who is it? Don’t do it. I don’t like this phone’s ringing sound. It’s annoying. I’m scared. I feel uncomfortable. I’m surprised and I get goosebumps when I hear that sound.” Since he was still on live with his fans, Jungkook tried to smile and said, “Isn’t this a prank call? Don’t make a prank call. If it’s a prank call, don’t do it,” he warned again.

He got another call a few minutes later. Jungkook said, “Who is this? How can I answer the phone? I don’t like this sound. I’m scared. I got goosebumps.” He tried to answer the phone, but when that person on the line hung up, Jungkook said, “Look. Who is it? Who is it? I’m scared. I feel like I’m the main character of a horror movie because the screen is also broken. I really don’t like this sound. I’m getting goosebumps,” he said, looking around him. Eventually, the staff, who was watching the live broadcast, came to Jungkook’s room and solved it.

Earlier in June 2019, Jungkook also confessed his annoyance caused by sasaeng fans. At that time, Jungkook said that he kept getting calls on his personal phone while conducting a live broadcast after finishing BTS’s fanmeeting in Busan “BTS 5TH MUSTER – MAGIC SHOP”.

Jungkook said, “I got a call from an unknown number. I will put down my phone for a while”, adding, “I don’t answer calls from people I don’t know. I have nothing to be delivered right now. If it is a call from a fan, I will block it right away. Actually, I’ve received many calls from sasaeng fans. I have no choice but to block them all”.

Sasaeng fans have been causing frustration by digging up not only cell phone numbers of stars, but also the locations of their accommodations, the rooms where they stay, and even boarding information. In particular, it was the first time Jungkook openly gave a warning and complained about his extreme fear of sasaengs. Fans are also angry and criticizing sasaengs.
