ILLIT enters UK Official Charts “K-pop artist with the shortest entry time”

"HYBE's super rookie" ILLIT continues to make strides by entering the UK Official Charts

According to the UK Official Charts released on April 5th (hereafter local time), the title track “Magnetic” from ILLIT’s (Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, Iroha) first mini-album “SUPER REAL ME” made its debut on the Official Singles Top 100 at 80th place.

This marks the first achievement for a debut song by a K-pop group. Additionally, ILLIT made their debut on the UK Official Singles Chart just 11 days after debut, setting a milestone as the “K-pop artist with the shortest entry time” on this chart.

The UK Official Charts is considered one of the world’s leading music charts alongside Billboard. Considering that ILLIT is still a rookie K-pop artist without any significant overseas activities or promotions, this achievement holds a deeper significance beyond just numbers.

ILLIT is also gaining immense popularity on Spotify. After setting a new K-pop record by entering Spotify’s “Daily Top Songs Global” on the debut day with “Magnetic”, ILLIT jumped a remarkable 175 spots to 15th place on the latest “Weekly Top Songs Global” chart (March 29th~April 4th).

ILLIT has already proven their potential by achieving great success on domestic music charts and album sales. “Magnetic” reached the top ranks on major music streaming sites such as Melon, Bugs and Genie, while “SUPER REAL ME” sold over 380,000 copies in its first week alone, setting a new record for debut albums by K-pop girl groups in terms of first-week album sales.

Meanwhile, “Magnetic” is a song that metaphorically compares the straightforward confidence of a teenage girl running towards her crush to a magnet. It was created with the participation of HYBE’s chairman Bang Si-hyuk and other producers.
