“I personally appreciate his help”… “Doctor Lawyer” actress Jang Seo-yeon mentioned So Ji-sub
Actress Jang Seo-yeon expressed her feelings about working with senior actor So Ji-sub in the drama “Doctor Lawyer”.
Actress Jang Seo-yeon, who plays the role of Gil So-yeon in MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama “Doctor Lawyer” (written by Jang Hong-chul/ directed by Lee Yong-seok and Lee Dong-hyun), had an interview at Wikitree building in Mapo-gu, Seoul on the evening of July 22nd.
“Doctor Lawyer” is a medical suspense legal drama that tells about Han Yi-han (So Ji-sub), a genius surgeon who became a lawyer after losing everything in a rigged operation, and Geum Seok-young (Im Soo-hyang), a prosecutor in charges of medical crime. Jang Seo-yeon appears in the drama as Gil So-yeon, a victim in the medical department at Banseok Hospital. Gil So-yeon was a high school girl who dreamed of becoming an idol singer but lost her voice due to the side effects of a surgery. The drama is receiving favorable reviews from the small screen audience with the highest rating peak of 8.3%. There are currently only 2 episodes left until it ends.
In the interview, Jang Seo-yeon shared, “I had such a happy time filming the drama. It was an honor for me to play Gil So-yeon. I think this experience will remain in my memory for a long time”.
Showing her extraordinary affection for “Doctor Lawyer”, she then said, “I met the work through an audition and received the script for So-yeon. At that time, I prepared different kinds of voice acting to impress the director.”
Jang Seo-yeon mentioned So Ji-sub, her fellow actor in “Doctor Lawyer” and senior actor in the same company, saying “I personally appreciate the chance to work with him.”
She said, “I gained many acting tips that can only be learned on the filming set from him. Behind the camera, he helped me with my eye acting”, adding, “Thanks to this, I was able to concentrate and immerse myself in the drama.”
Jang Seo-yeon continued, “He also helped me a lot by keeping a good atmosphere on the set”, expressing her gratitude. She added, “I really want to meet So Ji-sub sunbaenim in another work if I have a chance. I really received a lot of help from him.”
