“Tokyo Vice Season 1”, which was released through HBO Max in April last year, revolves around a Western journalist working for a publication in Tokyo. He takes on one of the city’s most powerful crime bosses. Based on the 2009 book of the same title by Jake Adelstein, the series, produced by Michael Mann and starring global stars such as Ansel Elgort and Ken Watanabe, gained attention.

In particular, “Tokyo Vice Season 1” recorded a critic score of 85% and a viewer score of 89% on the global content review site “Rotten Tomatoes”, earning both commercial success and artistic recognition. Thanks to the popularity of Season 1, “Tokyo Vice Season 2” has been confirmed for production and is scheduled to be released sequentially in the US in February and in Japan in April.

Hyunri expressed her thoughts through her agency, “I shot for about 9 months from October 2022, and everything from the first shoot to the last shoot remains as the best memories. It’s an honor to be able to participate in such a good work.

Debuting in 2006, Hyunri has showcased her wide-ranging character digestion skills in various works, including Apple TV+’s drama “Pachinko” and the movie “Wheel of Fortune and Fantasy”, raising her global recognition.
