HyunA and Dawn’s breakup is a topic as hot as the 2022 MAMA Awards.
On November 30th, Hyuna directly announced that she broke up with Dawn via her Instagram, giving fans a great shock. The couple started dating in 2016 and have been dating for 6 years, making their separation unbelievable to many.
In particular, HyunA published a photo which said, “We broke up. We decided to remain as good friends and colleagues in the future. Thank you for always cheering me on and for liking me.”
On the same day of HyunA’s announcement, the 2022 MAMA AWARDS was in full swing at Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan. Numerous singers were invited and awards were given, but HyunA and Dawn were not on the list of nominees and award winners.
HyunA released the mini-album “Nabillera” in July, while Dawn dropped “Stupid Cool” in June, so there was a possibility of the couple being invited and receiving an award. However, Hyuna, who was not invited, dropped a bomb by announcing her breakup during the awards ceremony. The news is receiving a lot of attention online, and made as many headlines as the results of MAMA.
In fact, discussion surrounding HyunA and Dawn has surfaced with such intensity, that the 2022 MAMA Awards is facing the risk of being “outshined”.
HyunA and Dawn started dating in 2016, but only revealed their relationship in 2018 after rumors rose. Ever since, they never fail to show off their passionate love by freely posting couple photos on their Instagrams.
On top of all this, the couple directly revealed their engagement rings in February, and raised anticipation about a marriage. Dawn even wrote “MARRY ME” on his Instagram, to which HyunA replied “of course YES”.
However, 9 months later in November, the public witnessed a breakup instead of a wedding. From a representative couple in the music industry who received immense support, HyunA and Dawn are now colleagues and friends.
At the same time, the couple did not unfollow each other on Instagram, and Dawn pressed “Like” on HyunA’s breakup announcement.
