On November 9, during her set at Waterbomb 2025 Macau, held at the Macau Outdoor Performance Venue, HyunA shocked fans when she suddenly fainted while performing her hit song Bubble Pop. Dancers rushed to her aid, and with the help of security staff, carried her off stage. A video of the incident quickly went viral online, triggering an outpouring of worry and support from fans around the world.

HyunA had previously revealed in 2019 that she suffers from vasovagal syncope, a condition that can cause sudden fainting. Recently, the singer garnered attention for reportedly losing 10kg in just one month after gaining weight during her newlywed life with singer Yong Junhyung. This drastic weight loss, combined with her existing health condition, is believed to have worsened her physical state, leading to the incident on stage.
According to an exclusive report by Star News on November 10, HyunA returned to Korea quietly that day after getting sufficient rest in Macau. Her agency, At Area, confirmed that she is now gradually recovering and will be taking time off to focus entirely on her health. The agency also assured that they will closely monitor her condition and provide full support.

Following the incident, HyunA took to her social media to express her regret, writing, “I’m really sorry. I wanted to show you my best, but I feel like I failed as a professional.” She added, “I’ll work on building my stamina and keep doing my best. I’m really okay please don’t worry about me.”
Fans continue to rally behind HyunA, hoping for her swift and full recovery.
