With his latest appearance in Japan, Hyun Bin proved his influence as a representative actor of the Korean Wave.
On April 10th, Hyun Bin visited Japan to attend a preview event for his special edition collection with an Italian high-end lifestyle brand, which he is the ambassador for. This marked the actor’s first visit to Japan in 5 years, since his fan meeting in 2017.
As a result, upon Hyun Bin’s arrival at Haneda Airport, the actor was greeted by a large crowd of eager fans. As numerous fans started to gather, however, the airport prepared a separate exit for the actor, where he continued to meet and greet fans, in consideration of safety concerns.
Afterwards, on April 11th, the following day, approximately 1,000 people gathered on Ginza Street in Tokyo hoping to catch a glimpse of Hyun Bin. Japanese media outlets also extensively covered Hyun Bin’s visit, and the event became a top trending topic on Japanese social media.
On the other hand, during the preview event, Hyun Bin expressed his happiness to be able to meet his fans again after five years and his joy at working on a good project. The actor’s warm and considerate treatment of his fans earned him high praise from local media and sparked explosive reactions from fans.
