Hyeri Faces “Ad Controversy” after Love Drama, Flooded with Hate Comments on SNS
Following her recent love drama, Hyeri has become embroiled in an ad controversy, leading to heavy criticism on SNS.
On April 6, Hyeri posted a photo on her personal SNS with the caption, “You’re asking how it tastes so good, it’s because it’s delicious. KFC’s new menu is to die for. Please make sure to try it!!”
In the photo, Hyeri can be seen staring at a hamburger for an advertisement shoot with KFC.
However, shortly after the photo was posted, overseas fans supporting Palestine came to Hyeri’s Instagram and flooded the idol-actress’ SNS in criticism.
According to these netizens, KFC supports the ongoing war in Palestine, so people should boycott it. They also expressed disappointment that Hyeri would advertise for the fast food brand.
It is known that prior to Hyeri, various other celebrities have received hate comments for posting photos of drinking beverages from Starbucks – another brand accused of.supporting the ongoing war in Palestine.
Currently, Starbucks has explained that they do not support any government or military operations with their funds, adding, “We withdrew from Israel in 2003 and currently do not operate any stores.”
