“Victory” depicts the story of a girl who transfers from Seoul to Geoje High School, where she joins an 8-member cheerleader team called the Millenium Girls.

The keywords “historical background” and “dance” are compared to the mega-hit “Sunny (2011)”, but it heralds pleasant freshness in that it is a female-centered youth product based on cheerleading, which was not easily seen in domestic films. Hyeri, a member of girl group Girl’s Day who has a good sense of retro sensibility, is a perfect casting.

“Victory” is Hyeri’s third big screen project after “Monstrum” (2018) and “My Punch-Drunk Boxer” (2019). Attention is focused on what kind of synergy effect will be created on the big screen where Hyeri’s unique bright and positive energy returns as she has grown into a full-fledged lead actress through active small screen activities.

In particular, Hyeri, who plays Baek Dong-ju, a funeral director who can talk to the dead, in MBC’s “May I Help You”, which premiered on Oct 19th, has been receiving positive reviews for her new face and deeper acting, raising expectations for the newly released work as well as her next move.
