In particular, Seventeen’s performance shone. They wrote a new history in K-pop by selling 8,904,129 copies in the first half of this year alone. This is thanks to the exceptional popularity of the new album “FML” as well as the steady increase in sales of old albums.

In the digital category, NewJeans stood out by far. In particular, NewJeans swept No.1~3 on the digital chart in the first half of this year with “Ditto”, “OMG” and “Hype boy”, imprinting their presence as a “digital monster”. Besides, NewJeans’ other debut song “Attention” ranked 7th and LE SSERAFIM‘s “ANTIFRAGILE” ranked 9th.

Thanks to the success of the two girl groups, HYBE Labels placed 5 songs in the “Top 10”.

The overwhelming performance on the album and digital charts is the power of HYBE’s multi-label strategy. HYBE created a virtuous cycle structure that increases the possibility of creating a super IP by ensuring complete autonomy for creative works and independence of each label.

As a result, creative capabilities of Big Hit Music, Pledis Entertainment, Belift Lab, Source Music, ADOR and KOZ Entertainment were strengthened, and high-quality music was constantly provided to K-pop fans.
