HYBE collaborates with Disney to release content of their artists through OTT platform Disney+, starting with BTS
New content from boy group BTS will be released on Disney+, Disney’s OTT platform.
On July 12th, BTS’s agency HYBE announced that they planned to collaborate with Walt Disney Company’s Asia-Pacific region and introduce five contents, including two contents featuring BTS, through a streaming platform.
First of all, “BTS: PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – LA”, which was held at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles last November, will be unveiled on Disney+ soon. This content contains 4K videos of the moment when BTS met fans face-to-face for the first time in two years after the Covid-19 pandemic. You can see performance videos of songs, such as “Butter” and “Permission to Dance”, which topped Billboard’s Main Single Chart ‘HOT 100’.
Starting from July 22nd, JTBC’s upcoming show “IN THE SOOP: Friendcation” will also be available on Disney+. Starring BTS’s V, actors Park Seo-joon, Choi Woo-sik, Park Hyung-sik and singer Peakboy, this is a reality travel program that tells about five friends suddenly going on a trip to enjoy their daily life moments and take a rest.
BTS’s chronological documentary series “BTS MONUMENTS – BEYOND THE STAR”, which contains the history of BTS from their debut days to the present, can also be viewed through Disney+. HYBE said, “This is a content that includes various kinds of music and videos over the past nine years of the group’s history as well as how the members rose to their current positions. Daily life stories of the members, who are preparing for their second chapter, their thoughts about the current situation, future plans, etc. will also be unveiled”. It will be released next year.
Apart from the above 3 contents, additional shows featuring HYBE artists will be introduced one after another.
