Actor Song Joong-ki revealed a story relating to Hwang Jung-min and Hong Sa-bin

The opening talk of the film “Hopeless” at the 28th Busan International Film Festival was held on the outdoor stage of the Udong Film Center in Haeundae-gu, Busan on October 7th. Actors Song Joong-ki, Hong Sa-bin, and Bibi (Kim Hyung-seo) attended the event to talk about various behind-the-scenes aspects of the work.

In the movie, Song Joong-ki plays “Chi Gun,” the middle boss of an organization who lives in harsh reality, Hong Sa-bin plays “Yeon-gyu,” a boy who wants to escape the hellish reality, and Bibi plays Yeon-gyu’s younger sibling, Ha-yan, who does not want to be swayed by the miserable reality.

Hong Sa-bin, who was selected as the lead actor through an audition, said, “The director asked me if I liked any of SANAI Pictures’ movies. I said that the movie “The Shameless” has a lot of meanings, and the director said he liked it.”

Song Joong-ki added, “As Sa-bin was talking about his audition, there’s something that comes to mind. When I heard that actor Hong Sa-bin was cast, I thought, “I’ll meet him soon, but then actor Hwang Jung-min called me. He told me, “Sa-bin is a good kid. If he doesn’t listen, just scold him. As Hwang Jung-min is not a person who usually says these things, I was wondering how nice this kid must be, but when I met him, I understood why he liked him.”

Meanwhile, the movie ‘Hopeless’ will be released in Korean theaters on October 11th.
