Chinese singer Huang Xiaoyun recently alarmed fans after being rushed to the hospital shortly after completing a concert performance in Hubei.
On May 10, her agency released an official statement revealing that the singer had been hospitalized after participating in the “Xungen Suizhou: Starlight Concert.” According to her management team, Huang Xiaoyun had already been suffering from serious physical discomfort during the event but still decided to remain on stage and finish her scheduled performances.

Not long after leaving the stage, the singer reportedly fainted twice in succession, leading staff members to immediately take her to the emergency room for treatment. Doctors were initially unable to identify the exact reason behind her sudden collapse.

The incident surprised many fans because Huang Xiaoyun appeared stable throughout the concert. During the event, she performed nine live songs, including several technically difficult tracks that required powerful vocals and an extensive vocal range. Audience-recorded videos later circulated online, showing the singer maintaining energetic stage presence and strong vocals despite her worsening condition.

Her agency later explained that Huang Xiaoyun insisted on completing the concert because she did not want to disappoint fans who had attended the event to see her perform.
Following further medical examinations, specialists eventually diagnosed the singer with a recurrence of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), a condition related to the inner ear that can trigger dizziness, balance problems, and sudden fainting episodes. Medical professionals reportedly linked her condition to accumulated fatigue, ongoing physical exhaustion, and severe lack of sleep.

Chinese media reports also revealed that Huang Xiaoyun had been following an extremely demanding schedule before the concert. She was allegedly sleeping fewer than five hours each night while juggling recordings, rehearsals, and continuous travel commitments.
Reports further stated that prior to arriving in Suizhou, the singer had completed another filming schedule before traveling nearly 1,000 kilometers overnight with minimal time to properly rest and recover.
