During the final stop of his Mars Concert tour in Shenzhen, Hua Chenyu unexpectedly shared the news with the audience mid-performance. He explained that in the past, the “Mars Park” concept involved traveling to different cities, renting land, and temporarily building concert spaces. However, with the upcoming 2.0 version, the project will evolve into “a real home built exclusively for Mars.”

Hua Chenyu revealed that he has already purchased three permanent plots of land in a location known for having a “spring-like climate all year round.” This marks a major transition for his concert model, from what he described as a “renting phase” to a full-fledged “home ownership” phase.

“There will be our Utopia there,” the singer said, outlining his vision of a space that combines concerts, food, leisure activities, and warm, welcoming buildings. He jokingly added that he has no idea how much money the project will ultimately cost, calling it “possibly a bottomless pit,” but emphasized that it is something he is determined to do.

The announcement immediately went viral, with the keyword “Hua Chenyu bought three plots of land” shooting to the top of trending topics. Fans expressed excitement, while others speculated about the location and scale of the investment. Hua Chenyu later followed up with a message, saying, “I hope to meet everyone at Mars Paradise 2.0 when spring arrives and flowers bloom.”

Although Hua Chenyu did not disclose the exact location, Chinese media noted that only a handful of cities are known for having a year-round spring climate. Fans quickly uncovered clues pointing to Chengjiang City in Yunnan Province. In December last year, a company named Yunnan Warm Home Cultural Tourism Co., Ltd. completed its registration in Chengjiang. Notably, “Warm Home” is also the title of one of Hua Chenyu’s songs.

The company was jointly established by Shanghai Shengheng Hongyin Culture Media Co., Ltd., in which Hua Chenyu reportedly holds a 99% stake, and Beijing Times Amey Culture Media Co., Ltd., the longtime organizer of the Mars Concert series. On February 9, the Chengjiang Investment Promotion Bureau confirmed that land leveling work had already begun, expressing strong anticipation for the project’s development. The local Culture and Tourism Bureau stated that further details would be announced officially by Hua Chenyu’s company.

The idea of building a permanent “concert park” is not new for Hua Chenyu. He shared that since 2018, he has dreamed of giving fans a place they could return to again and again. This vision led to the creation of Mars Paradise, a concert model that differs from traditional venue-based performances. His team would locate open land and build everything from scratch, including stages, power systems, large-scale installations, and green spaces. By 2021, the “concert park” format was fully realized.

In 2023, during the Nanjing stop, the team entered the site months in advance to complete infrastructure, creating a comprehensive space featuring a main stage, interactive zones, and food areas, allowing audiences to experience something closer to a multi-day festival rather than a single concert. However, the temporary nature of rented land meant high costs and repeated dismantling after each tour stop. Purchasing land permanently is seen as a natural upgrade, allowing for more sustainable stage technology, enhanced fan experiences, and the realization of Hua Chenyu’s long-held concept of a true “home” for his fans.

In the summer of 2024, Hua Chenyu previously caused a sensation by hosting a sunrise concert by the sea in Yantai, which began at 3 a.m. Tens of thousands of fans waited for dawn, and as his song “Growing Toward The Sun” reached its climax, the sun rose over the ocean, a moment that left a powerful impression through live broadcasts.
