‘Hopeless’ Actress Kim Hyung-seo Reveals Impression Of Song Joong-ki, “He’s Very Cute And Beautiful”
Kim Hyung-seo talked about her experience of acting alongside Hong Xa-bin and Song Joong-ki in “Hopeless”
Kim Hyung-seo (BIBI) had an interview at a cafe in Seocho-gu, Seoul on October 10th and revealed various stories about the movie “Hopeless” (director Kim Chang-hoon).
“Hopeless” is a noir drama about a boy named Yeon-gyu (Hong Xa-bin), who wants to escape from the hellish reality, meets the middle boss of an organization Chi-geon (Song Joong-ki) and joins the world of crime.
While doing singing activities under the stage name BIBI, Kim Hyung-seo transformed into Hayan, a student living in a family in crisis, through “Hopeless”.
When asked about working with Song Joong-k on the set, Kim Hyung-seo said, “He always bought food like makguksu, chicken ribs, pork belly, etc., for me. I actually tried all the delicious things in Chuncheon. I didn’t have many scenes with Song Joong-ki but he came to the set very often. There were times when he came just to buy me some food. He treated me so nicely that I wonder when will I get a chance to work in such a pleasant environment”.
Revealing that “Hopeless” team was like a family because everyone took great care of her and covered her shortcomings, Kim Hyung-seo shared, “Senior actor Song Joong-ki believed in my acting. They to me to do whatever I wanted. I learned a lot from them, like how to behave properly when becoming a star.”
She continued, “Actor Song Joong-ki is really kind and cool. I want to become a person like him. He always smiled and cared about the staff. When he was determined to do something, he would look very serious. He goes back and forth between looking strong and weak, but he’s a very cool person”.
Regarding Hong Xa-bin, Kim Hyung-seo commented, “When I saw his acting, I realized that he had the eyes of the main character and a strong characteristic. When I first met him, he was like an older brother next door, but he looked completely different on the set. I was surprised to see that side of him.” She added, “Song Joong-ki is very handsome. He’s really cute and beautiful. I got goosebumps when meeting him directly on the set.”
Kim Hyung-seo has learned to act only once. Regarding the reason she stopped taking acting classes, the actress said, “I’m a singer in a hip-hop company but they let me go to the academy because I said I wanted to act. But it didn’t suit me and I lost confidence”. Regarding her acting tip, she said, “I tried to enjoy acting. ‘This is the real situation’, I always say that to myself when acting”.
Meanwhile, “Hopeless” will premiere on October 11th.
