Hong Seok-cheon “BTS J-Hope is not my style… I like Jimin”

Broadcaster Hong Seok-cheon said that Jimin is closer to his style than J-Hope among BTS members.

On Sep 7th, the YouTube channel “Happy Garlic Studio” posted the episode 9 video of the web entertainment show “Picky Sisters”. In the video, Hong Seok-cheon appeared as a guest, and Infinite Sungjong appeared as a “Sosikjwa” (a person who eats little) on behalf of Sandara Park, who was diagnosed with COVID-19.

Hong Seok-cheon met MC Park So-hyun and said, “A great big news broke out. So-hyun said that she had something with BTS J-Hope…” In response, Park So-hyun drew a line, saying, “It’s not something. We did a broadcast together.”

Park So-hyun said, “J-Hope once appeared on my radio show – ‘Park So-hyun’s Love Game’”, adding “I was so happy while hosting the radio that day.”

Hong Seok-cheon then complained, “Why didn’t you call me when you have a guest like that?”, Park So-hyun said, “But I think he (J-Hope) is not the type of guy that you like, right?”. In response, Hong Seok-cheon said, “That’s right. He’s not my style”, drawing laughter.

Hong Seok-cheon continued, “Is this going to be on the news again? The article’s title will be ‘Hong Seok-cheon says, ‘J-Hope is not my style’”, adding “ARMYs (BTS’s fandom), please don’t misunderstand me. I like Jimin”.

Meanwhile, Hong Seok-cheon, who was born in 1971, made his debut in the entertainment industry through the 4th KBS Comedian Festival (for college students) in 1995. He revealed his homosexuality and came out in 2000. Due to this decision, he was forced to drop out of broadcasts and had a hard time suffering from public criticism.
