A post on an online community claimed that Hong Sang-soo, Kim Min-hee, and their son born out of their relationship were seen together at Incheon International Airport.
Photos shared in the post showed Kim Min-hee wearing a cap and carrying a large bag while pushing a stroller. She appeared in a casual yet stylish look, while Hong Sang-soo contrasted her with a more classic outfit, dressed in a coordinated set.
Their young son was seen sitting in the stroller as they moved through the airport. The eyewitness commented, “The baby was really cute,” adding, “Babies grow up so fast. It seemed like a nanny or manager was with them.”
Notably, both Hong Sang-soo and Kim Min-hee were seen without masks. The witness added that their presence caused a stir, saying, “People started whispering when they noticed them,” and “Many Koreans recognized them right away.” They also described Kim Min-hee as looking “less glamorous than before but still naturally beautiful.”
Hong Sang-soo and Kim Min-hee first met while working on the film Right Now, Wrong Then in 2015. In 2016, despite a 22-year age gap, they developed a romantic relationship. In 2017, they publicly acknowledged both their relationship and the controversy surrounding it, and have continued their relationship ever since. The couple welcomed a son in April last year.
Hong Sang-soo had previously married a woman during his time studying in the United States in 1985, and they have a daughter together. However, it has been reported that he has not yet finalized a divorce.
