“Hellbound” heroine Kim Shin-rok reportedly joins the cast of Netflix’s “Sweet Home 2”

Actress Kim Shin-rok will appear in Netflix’s series “Sweet Home 2”.

According to industry insiders on March 25th, Kim Shin-rok has confirmed her appearance in Netflix’s “Sweet Home 2“.

Kim Shin-rok captivated viewers around the world with her intense acting in Netflix’s “Hellbound“, which was released last year. Kim Shin-rok played the role of Park Jeong-ja, a single mother subject to the first public demonstration, and drew attention for portraying in detail the complex psychology of a mother who wants to protect her children as well as the fear of those who are about to die. In particular, Kim Shin-rok showed a strong performance in the last scene of the drama, raising expectations for the next season. Kim Shin-rok also made headlines as a former Seoul National University student with a history of becoming an actress while participating in a theater club.

Netflix’s original series “Sweet Home” depicts the bizarre and shocking story that occurs to the reclusive, loner high school student Hyun-soo (played by Song Kang) after moving to an apartment building that is undergoing redevelopment. Actors Song Kang, Lee Jin-wook, Lee Si-young, Lee Do-hyun, Kim Nam-hee, Go Min-si, Park Gyu-young appeared in season 1 (2020) based on the popular webtoon “Sweet Home“, which garnered numerous fans and accumulated over 1.2 billion views due to its fresh story and tense suspense.

Kim Shin-rok joined the work while “Sweet Home” was preparing for season 2 thanks to its great popularity at the time of its release. Kim Shin-rok did not appear in season 1 and is planning to join “Sweet Home” season 2 to create another strong character of her own.

Meanwhile, Kim Shin-rok has been cast in dramas such as “The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate” and Disney+’s “Moving“.
