Heartwarming Gesture by Korean and Japanese Fan Clubs on Park Seo-joon’s Birthday

Park Seo-joon’s Fans Practice Heartwarming Generosity

The child welfare organization Green Umbrella (President Hwang Young-ki) announced on the 16th that actor Park Seo-joon’s official Korean fan cafe, ‘PARK’s office’, and the Japanese supporters’ group ‘PSJ Aishiteru’ donated KRW 12.16 million to Green Umbrella in celebration of Park Seo-joon’s birthday on December 16.

The donated funds will be channeled through the ‘Santa Expedition Campaign,’ a year-end initiative fulfilling children’s wishes. The ‘Green Umbrella Santa Expedition’ is the organization’s flagship year-end campaign, now in its 17th year. This year’s goal is to expand support for over 5,000 children, almost doubling the scale compared to the previous year. Through last year’s Santa Expedition Campaign, over KRW 920 million supported 2,902 children.

Park’s Office and PSJ Aishiteru have consistently demonstrated warm philanthropy on Park Seo-joon’s special days, contributing funds to Green Umbrella both last year and this year.

A representative from Park’s Office stated, “Fans, known as ‘Jeomju’ (Park Seo-joon’s official fan cafe nickname), gathered their hearts to provide strength to children facing a challenging winter. We hope all the children can have a joyful and warm winter as their wishes come true.”

In connection with this, Yeo In-mi, the Director of Green Umbrella’s Sharing Marketing Department, explained, “Recently, the number of households in Korea with unpaid electricity bills reached 41,052, and the households facing gas or electricity disconnection amounted to 12,701, doubling the number of energy-vulnerable households compared to the previous year.”

She continued, “In this situation, we express our gratitude to Park Seo-joon’s fan club for coming together to share warmth. We will do our best to support the children in having a warm winter and achieving their wishes.”

Meanwhile, Park Seo-joon, who debuted in 2012, has appeared in numerous works such as ‘Dream High 2,’ ‘Kill Me, Heal Me,’ ‘She Was Pretty,’ ‘Fight for My Way,’ ‘What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim,’ and ‘Itaewon Class.’
