Actors Han Suk-kyu, Ahn Hyo-seop and Lee Sung-kyung will return with “Dr. Romantic 3”.
SBS’ drama “Dr. Romantic” is a work depicting the story of “true doctors” in the background of a small hospital named Doldam located in Gangwon Province. “Dr. Romantic” became SBS’ mega-hit drama as it received a lot of love for 2 consecutive seasons. Its first season (2016) and second season (2020) recorded the highest viewership ratings of 27.6% and 27.1%, respectively.
In “Dr. Romantic” Season 1 (2016) centering on actor Han Suk-kyu (as Kim Sa-bu (Teacher Kim)), Yoo Yeon-seok and Seo Hyun-jin appeared and presented an enthusiastic performance. In “Dr. Romantic” Season 2 (2020), Ahn Hyo-seop and Lee Sung-kyung newly joined. They, along with Han Suk-kyu, gave a warm touching impression and resonance with their in-depth acting. Meanwhile, the news of the production and casting of “Dr. Romantic 3” was finally reported on Sep 15th. Writer Kang Eun-kyung, writer Lim Hye-min and director Yoo In-shik will unite. Actor Han Suk-kyu, who led Season 1 and Season 2 to mega hits, will once again take the lead in “Dr. Romantic 3” as Kim Sa-bu (Teacher Kim). Besides, Ahn Hyo-seop and Lee Sung-kyung, the main characters who helped “Dr. Romantic” become a seasonal drama, also joined side by side following Season 2.
