On December 16, the production press conference for the upcoming film Project Y was held at Megabox COEX in Gangnam, Seoul, with Han So-hee in attendance.
Project Y tells the story of Mi-seon and Do-gyeong, two women living in the heart of a glamorous city while longing for a different future. Driven to the edge of their lives, they steal illegal money and gold bars, setting off a dangerous chain of events. Han So-hee plays Mi-seon, signaling another powerful transformation in her acting career.
Han So-hee’s styling quickly became a focal point of the event. She wore an ivory sleeveless dress with a clean silhouette, layered with sheer fabric and subtle floral details. Black heels added contrast, while her long straight hair and minimal makeup completed the look.

The overall impression was calm, deliberate, and polished a noticeable shift from the bold, rebellious image she was once known for.
Perhaps most striking was the complete absence of tattoos.
None were visible on her arms or legs, marking a clear departure from the tattooed image that once symbolized Han So-hee’s individuality. Previously, it was revealed that she had spent around ₩20 million undergoing tattoo removal procedures, sparking widespread public discussion.
Her appearance at the press conference reinforced that this was not a coincidence, but a conscious visual choice.
Despite removing her tattoos, Han So-hee has not entirely let go of that aesthetic. Recently, she shared photos on social media featuring temporary “stocking tattoos”, displaying illustrations of the 12 zodiac animals on both legs. Fans joked that it felt like “reading a New Year’s fortune.”

Rather than erasing her past, Han So-hee appears to be reframing it, choosing when and how to express different sides of herself.
Against this backdrop, her white dress at the Project Y press conference felt symbolic. Instead of emphasizing intensity, Han So-hee chose to strip away excess elements, presenting herself in a refined, official image distinct from her airport fashion or social media appearances.
It was, in many ways, the face of “formal-event Han So-hee.”
Now 32 years old, Han So-hee debuted in 2017 through SBS’s drama Reunited Worlds. Over the past eight years, she has continuously evolved, both in her roles and her public image.
With Project Y, she signals yet another turning point balancing boldness and restraint, past and present.
The film Project Y is scheduled for release on January 21, 2026. Audiences are now watching closely to see which version of Han So-hee will ultimately take shape on the big screen.
