Han Hyo-joo Talks About New Movie, “I Didn’t Drink Water For 3 Days To Get In Shape”

Han Hyo-joo told reporters how she practiced for a perfect body for her role in “Believer 2.”

On the afternoon of October 5th, at the 28th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), an Open Talk event was held for the cast of the movie “Believer 2,” including Cho Jin-woong, Cha Seung-won, Han Hyo-joo and Oh Seung-hoon.

Han Hyo-joo played the role of Big Knife in “Believer 2.”

On this day, Han Hyo-joo shared, “Big Knife is the one who tries to protect Mr. Lee (the organization’s boss). She treats Mr. Lee like her father, loves him, and goes around dealing with those who say his name carelessly. I think I played the role that the late Kim Joo-hyuk and Jin Seo-yeon played in the first “Believer” movie.”

Han Hyo-joo said, “It wasn’t really easy to build a body. The time given was not long. Immediately after “Moving” ended, I joined “Believer 2″. It’s harder to build a skinny body that shows small muscles. I worked out all day because the coach said he wanted me to show my fine muscles even though I was brutally skinny.”

“In the morning, I did weight training to build muscles, ate eggs and bananas simply at lunch, and I had to lose weight again in the afternoon, so I did cardio all day. In the last action scene, I tear up all my clothes, and at that time, my body (made so far) needs to be exposed, so I tried the hydration method for the first time in my life. I took out all the hydration from my body by not taking a sip of water for three days,” she recalled.

Director Baek also bowed his head and smiled at the story, saying, “I officially apologize to Han Hyo-joo for making her do that,” making everyone laugh.
