Having come to Korea as a trainee, Han Geng practiced from morning to night every day. He mentioned that it was very difficult during his trainee days, and he would often not realize when he got injured.

Han Geng debuted as a member of Super Junior in 2005 and became popular. However, issues such as income distribution became sources of stress for him. In reality, he revealed that he did not receive a large amount during the first settlement.

He said, “I had to return some of the income to the company. Therefore, my income was less than during my trainee days.” During his trainee days, he received living expenses from SM and paid it back after his debut.

Han Geng eventually decided to leave the company and suffered from deep depression, even having nightmares. He once confessed to his father over the phone about his thoughts of suicide.

In 2009, Han Geng withdrew from Super Junior and left SM. Reflecting on his decision, he shared, “It was a very good choice,” expressing that he could return to his hometown and build an acting career.

Han Geng reminisced that despite the difficulties during that time, he is grateful for the growth he experienced through activities in Korea.
