Han Ga-in confessed the wounds in her heart caused by malicious comments.
Appearing on SBS’s “Circle House” broadcast aired on March 10th, Han Ga-in talked about malicious comments she received.
Everyone was shocked when they heard Han Ga-in say, “On the morning of a random day, I accidentally looked up articles about me. However, I found the malicious comment, ‘When did Han Ga-in become this old? You must stay inside and do housework, old lady”.
She recalled, “I kept thinking, ‘Why did I feel so bad today?’, for the whole night and then realized, ‘Oh, I saw a malicious comment this morning’”, adding, “I thought how I look in people’s eyes were not that important to me, but those malicious comments did dominate my thoughts for a long time.”
Upon hearing this, Dr. Oh Eun-young shook her head and said, “Malicious comments have hurt many people. They can be worse than body injuries”, adding, “No matter how strong your heart is, the malicious comments will still remain in your head the moment you see them. Depending on individuals, the afterimage of malicious comments might disappear quickly. However, many people still remember them for a long time”.
She emphasized, “Remember that you should know how to distinguish between criticism and malicious comments. Criticism is a suggestion for different ideas or changes in a good way”, adding, “Malicious comments only insult you. The two things are completely different”.
