On May 29, Han Ga In uploaded a new video to her YouTube channel, where she candidly discussed the condition she has been struggling with behind the scenes.
While taking nutritional supplements during a break, Han Ga In revealed that she had recently experienced a relapse of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), a disorder commonly caused by displaced calcium crystals in the inner ear.
“My vertigo has returned again,” she explained. “When I went to the hospital, the doctor told me that because of my physical condition, the crystals in my ears are very prone to becoming dislodged.”
BPPV is one of the most common causes of vertigo and can create the sensation that either the patient or surrounding objects are spinning, particularly when changing head positions.
The condition can significantly increase the risk of falls and injuries due to sudden dizziness.
Describing the severity of her symptoms, Han Ga In said: “Whenever it comes back, it feels as if my entire bed is spinning 360 degrees.”
The actress admitted that the disorder has become a major obstacle in her everyday life and work schedule.
Fans who watched the video quickly flooded the comments section with messages of support and shared their own experiences dealing with similar symptoms.
In another previously released video, Han Ga In revealed just how frightened she felt after realizing the condition had returned.
“I was terrified when I realized my dizziness had come back,” she confessed. “I can’t even do yoga anymore. The moment I lower my head, I become dizzy and everything starts spinning.”
The actress also recalled a recent incident involving her daughter.
Despite feeling unwell, Han Ga In kept a promise she had made to her child and spent time collecting seashells together. However, the physical strain reportedly took a heavy toll.
“The next day, I simply couldn’t get out of bed,” she revealed.
According to Han Ga In, she has continued receiving medical treatment and attends regular hospital checkups to manage the condition.
She also disclosed that some medications have caused side effects affecting her eyesight and heart rate, creating additional challenges in both her personal life and professional activities.
