On May 25, the actress uploaded a new video to her personal YouTube channel where she experimented with various makeup and styling concepts alongside her staff.
During the video, Han Ga In openly discussed several “fashion disasters” from earlier in her career — but one particular red carpet appearance immediately stole attention online.
The actress brought up an old photo from the Baeksang Arts Awards more than 20 years ago, where she appeared with an extremely voluminous curly hairstyle that shocked viewers at the time.
Some Korean netizens even joked that Han Ga In must have argued with her stylist before attending the event because the hairstyle looked so unexpected.
Watching the footage again, Han Ga In could not stop reacting in disbelief.
She hilariously exclaimed: “Why do I look like a poodle? This is seriously driving me crazy. Everyone, look at this!”
Even members of her production staff reportedly burst into laughter after seeing the old images.
One staff member reacted: “What is this? How did your hair become like that?”
The actress later revealed another “cringe-worthy” memory involving a stage appearance with actor Park Shin Yang.
Han Ga In explained that she once attended an event to support the actor and ended up appearing onstage with unusual clown-inspired makeup.
She joked: “I think the concept that day was supposed to be Pierrot the clown or something.”
The production team reportedly laughed loudly as old photos from the event appeared on screen.
Despite the humorous throwback moments, Han Ga In remains one of the most celebrated beauty icons in Korean entertainment.
The actress rose to fame in the early 2000s and gained widespread recognition through hit projects including The Moon Embracing the Sun and Architecture 101.
