Ham So-won clarifies rumors about her husband Jin Hua engaging in same-sex kiss

On Feb 12th, Ham So-won posted on her SNS with the hashtags “#explanation #truth #clarification #response“, stating, “Now I’ll respond to questions on Instagram and Chinese TikTok account.”

The incident began when a photo of an unidentified same-sex couple kissing on the street spread online.

Ham So-won explained that fans asked if the man in the photo was her husband Jin Hua through DM messages.

She clarified, “If you look closely, they look quite similar. However, I know Jin Hua’s face well. Please take a good look and confirm. I want to inform you that the man kissing in the photo is not Jin Hua.”

Furthermore, Ham So-won cross-edited photos of A, a member of a famous idol group active in Korea, to indicate, “Not Jin Hua. OOO.”

This spread rapidly online, and netizens criticized Ham So-won for being reckless, as it was uncertain whether the person in the photo was from A. When controversy arose, Ham So-won deleted the post.

Meanwhile, Ham So-won has been married to Jin Hua, who is 18 years younger and holds Chinese nationality, since 2018. They have a daughter together.

Since 2022, Ham So-won and Jin Hua have been residing in Vietnam.
