Recently, alleged screenshots of Instagram DMs between GOT7 Jay B and a non-celebrity influencer, A, were posted on her Instagram story. It is known that A is an influencer with a considerable number of followers.
During their conversation, Jay B asked if A were free, if she frequents clubs, what she does in her free time, and explained why he happened to see her story. He even asked about A’s age when the drama “Dream High” was aired.
As the situation escalated, A posted a statement on her Instagram story. According to A, Jay B had initiated the conversation on Instagram, and she uploaded the messages to share it with only a few friends. However, someone captured and spread the messages online without A’s consent.
A emphasized that she did not manipulate the Instagram DMs nor were she seeking attention by making them public. She further clarified that there is no relationship between her and Jay B, that they are no longer in contact, and requested that people refrain from making comments about her and Jay B.
However, this is not the first time Jay B’s DMs to non-celebrity women have been exposed. In July of last year, screenshots of the male idol sending DMs to 230,000 influencers were also spread. A similar controversy also occurred in March of this year.
In response to such a news, netizens left comments such as, “He is becoming known for sending DMs to non-celebrity women,” “Most of them seem to be women who post sexy pictures,” “This has happened more than once,” “It’s probably just what’s known, there could be more,” “It’s not surprising since he’s already famous for it”, and so on.
On the other hand, Jay B previously terminated his exclusive contract with his agency, CDNZA Records, in April. The agency stated that this was a decision made after sufficient discussions.
